Roadnet Anywhere Enhances Routing Solution with Improved Turn Restrictions
UPS Logistics Technologies is pleased to announce that with a new map upgrade launching on February 21st, 2008, Turn Restriction data will be available in its Roadnet Anywhere™ software application. With the addition of this functionality, routes will be created using the most current road data available to direct the path of the vehicle. This results in more accurate routes and driver directions, including time and distance calculations that take into consideration penalties for turns. This map upgrade applies to all areas within the continental U.S. where there are U-turn restrictions, left hand turn restrictions and penalties, and 3-point turn restrictions.
